Christmas in the Air 2023

Christmas in the Air, presented by Tompkins Bank & Trust, is a community outreach event hosted by EAA Chapter 321 Young Eagles at Reading Regional Airport. The annual holiday celebration promotes aviation in our community while bringing families together for a fun-filled day at the airport.

The event is open to children of all ages and features music, games, holiday activities, local vendors, food, and visits with Santa. At the heart of the event are free airplane rides for children ages 8–17 through the EAA Young Eagles program, giving kids the opportunity to experience aviation firsthand and create a memory they’ll never forget.

Free Young Eagles Flights
Free flights are available to children ages 8–17 through the EAA Young Eagles program. A legal guardian must be present on the day of the event to complete and sign the required forms.

There is no pre-registration for flights. Flights will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and participation is limited. The number of flights available may vary based on weather conditions, available time, and volunteer resources. Because of these factors, we cannot guarantee that every child will receive a flight.

For many years, the RDG Airport Community has come together to support Christmas in the Air by donating their time, resources, and financial support. Dozens of volunteers, charitable donations, sponsors, and community supporters help make this free event possible, including the airplane rides, games, toys, snacks, and activities for children.

Bring your family and friends to Reading Regional Airport and enjoy a special holiday experience while supporting the community members who make this event possible.

Christmas in the Air is FREE and open to the public.
